LIVE SOUND METER / POLICIES

Terms of use

These terms explain the scope of Live Sound Meter and your responsibilities when using it.

About these terms

These terms apply to livesoundmeter.com, an independently developed website operated as Live Sound Meter. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it. Questions can be sent to the address below.

Purpose and availability

Live Sound Meter is a free browser tool for educational use, relative comparisons and personal records. No account, subscription or payment is required. Access is provided as available; device compatibility and uninterrupted operation are not guaranteed. You are responsible for your device, microphone permissions and the context in which you use the tool.

Measurement limitations

Readings are estimates influenced by hardware, input gain, audio processing, calibration and surroundings. Before reference alignment, the display uses an assumed offset and absolute readings can be substantially wrong. Alignment is a convenience, not certification.

Outputs and exposure illustrations are not a substitute for professional acoustic testing, medical advice, workplace compliance assessment or legal evidence. A report is not a certified measurement. Do not use a low browser reading to justify remaining near a loud source.

Your reports and lawful use

Use your microphone lawfully and respect other people’s privacy. Do not misuse the website, interfere with its operation or misrepresent an estimate as a certified result.

Reports are generated on your device. You decide what notes to include, how to store the files and whom to share them with. Save results you need before restarting or leaving the page. Generating a report does not transfer ownership of your notes or results to us.

Privacy, advertising and external resources

Our privacy policy explains local audio processing, hosting, support messages and advertising. We may display third-party advertising to support free access. Advertising is separate from measurement, and its presence does not certify or validate a reading.

Reference links and third-party services remain under their operators’ control. We do not guarantee their availability or endorse every statement, product or service they display.

Responsibility and your legal rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided without warranties of measurement accuracy, uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for decisions made by treating a browser estimate as a professional assessment.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or removes any protection provided by mandatory law applicable to you.

Updates and contact

We may change the service or update these terms. The date below identifies the latest review. Material changes will be explained here or otherwise notified where required by law. For questions, support or feedback, contact us at the address below.
